Satomi Yamamiya is a Japanese illustrator based in the North East of England. Working primarily in gouache and mixed media, she creates colourful, story-driven illustrations inspired by everyday moments, childhood nostalgia and the natural world.

She is currently developing her illustration practice with a focus on children's publishing and narrative illustration.
